my girl

On my running play list I have a song for each of the girls. Brown Eyed Girl by Van Morrison for Mia and My Girl by the Temptations for Jilli. When I hear the song I think of them and play a mental slide show of memories in my head. Weird, but really takes up some running time.

The lyrics I've got sunshine on a cloudy day/ When it's cold outside i've got the month of May are perfect for Jilli because she is a smile when you really can't find anything to smile about.

Exhibit 1: Making a personal pizza in knee high socks and underwear. She dug up the chef's hat and apron on her own.

Easter

Easter took us to Stillwater, Oklahama to my sister's house. The girls had a wonderful time with their cousins. I am pretty sure Mia doesn't believe in the Easter Bunny anymore. He delivered the baskets to the hotel and had tied a ribbon around the baskets. Jillian yelled "Hey, that is the same ribbon Mom used on Mia's birthday presents." Mia just looked at us and stared and was unenthusiastic about opening her basket. She knows.

I love this picture of my girls laughing at trying to contain Jaclyn. They would have so much fun with a baby sister.
