Christmas 2014

We spent Christmas at home relaxing! We caught up with our family over break as well. Always busy, always eating, always thankful to see Christmas through the girls' eyes.

The girls made reindeer food and wrote letters to Santa.

Christmas Eve appetizers.

I went to the dentist on Christmas Eve. I know, why were they open???? Brad and the girls delivered our baked goodies to some friends. We had appetizers and headed to mass.

Afterwards we went on our Christmas Light scavenger hunt.

Sprinkled our reindeer food, missing snow!

Posed for our annual timer picture.

Snuggled in bed and awoke to a wonderful Christmas morning!

We spent the day watching movies and building Legos! The perfect day to relax after such busy days!

December 2014

December is such a whirlwind!

The girls had their school concert early in the month. Jilli was a nervous wreck about her concert. She is a perfectionist and was so distraught that she didn't know the words to the finale. For a second I thought she was going to be sick on stage, but she eventually cracked a smile.

Waiting to sing, playing with her fingers to calm the nerves.

Boots for St. Nick.

Dress down day. I was dressed first and the girls wanted to dress like me, ha ha.

Piano concert. The girls love their new teacher!

Class party for Jilli. Mia was sick and missed the last day of school.

KU game-Great game, Brad and Jilli after the game waiting on my cousin to come out of the dressing room. We went to dinner after the game at the Basil Leaf, it was delicious!

Santa visit on 12/23. Kind of like the late Pumpkin Patch visit, oh well, we made it!

Baking mess.

Thanksgiving 2014

This fearless guy put up our lights!

We hosted my sister's family and my mom for Thanksgiving. We also went to the Plaza on Thanksgiving night to watch the lights.

This was our best photo, clearly things weren't going well. Cold weather, crowds, and close fireworks, should have stayed home and eaten more pie!

Short Arkansas Trip

In mid-November we took the girls and my grandma to Arkansas. My uncle's basketball team, Wake Forest, was playing the University of Arkansas Razorbacks. We had a great time visiting with my aunt and cheering on the Demon Deacons! They lost, but we had fun!

The team flew out immediately after the game, but we spent the night. The next day we went to Bentonville to their little square. We ate brunch and then toured the original Wal-Mart and their museum.

I had read about Crystal Bridges Art museum on another blog. We stopped for about an hour. I would have loved to stay longer, but the girls found it a tad boring. The grounds and architecture are beautiful! If you find yourself in NWA I definitely would stop by!

Last minute PP

Honestly, during the school year I feel like I am on a hamster wheel. Working full time, the girls activities and homework, plus cooking and grocery shopping kick my hiney. I look like I run on a hamster wheel daily all day!! I changed jobs at school this year which adds to my crazy. I wake up everyday so thankful for the busy though, someday I will miss it.

With that said, we didn't make it to the pumpkin patch until October 30th at 5:15. Patch closed for the season at 6:00. I know. I was envisioning a deserted patch with a few rotted pumpkins. Much to my surprise, there are lots of other last minuters! Brad didn't make it, he was working, but we needed a picture with the How Tall this Fall sign! Without further ado.........Pumpkin Patch 2014!

I love these two so much. They knew that they could only pick a little pumpkin because Halloween was the next day and we were going out of town. They are such tradition keepers that they just couldn't handle not going!

Not sure why the first photos are so squatty!
