The girls are picking up a few skills during soccer. Both girls are getting more comfortable and confident with the sport. I am so proud of Mia for trying a new sport and actually showing a little aggression during a game.
Both girls aren't too aggressive in team sports like soccer or basketball. Following our footsteps, nice and easy individual sports are their style like running, gymnastics, golf, swimming, softball, etc.
Mia's team is all of her best little buddies and a young coach, the guy in red. Of course all of the girls LOVE him and he is teaching them all sorts of skills. I have no idea what he is talking about. Mia is a quick learner and does all of her "skills" in the game. He is a paid coach and was just teamed up with a group of giggly 7 year olds. Last game he told them to "take a knee" and was going to give them some coaching advice. Apparently the girls looked at each other and started saying the Hail Mary out loud. Ha Ha Ha. He had no idea what to do and told them to stop.
Jilli is into wasting her water.
Brrr............I love the cold weather!
I think Mia loves being with her friends!
Speaking of Mom and Dad sports, we ran the Good Shepherd Family Fun Run a couple of weeks ago. Brad and Mia completed the 3 mile course running a majority of the time.
Jilli and I put the fun in the "Fun Run." Not really.
Jilli was adamant about participating up until the morning of the event. I kept telling her she could stay home, but she insisted, so I signed us all up. This went on for days. The morning of she changed her mind (typical) and we told her she had to go. She walked beside me and we turned around when Brad and Mia lapped us. I carried her over the finish line.
