Short Arkansas Trip

In mid-November we took the girls and my grandma to Arkansas. My uncle's basketball team, Wake Forest, was playing the University of Arkansas Razorbacks. We had a great time visiting with my aunt and cheering on the Demon Deacons! They lost, but we had fun!

The team flew out immediately after the game, but we spent the night. The next day we went to Bentonville to their little square. We ate brunch and then toured the original Wal-Mart and their museum.

I had read about Crystal Bridges Art museum on another blog. We stopped for about an hour. I would have loved to stay longer, but the girls found it a tad boring. The grounds and architecture are beautiful! If you find yourself in NWA I definitely would stop by!

Florida Days 4 & 5

The last two days were a blur of golfing, shopping and more swimming! The beach turned into a bit of a bummer due to extreme amounts of seaweed and dead fish?!?! We googled this and couldn't figure out the issue. On one day I had on a strapless one piece, when I went to shower, my stomach was plastered with seaweed, it was sick.

Note the dead fish, there were thousands of them.

Overall, we enjoyed the girls' first beach trip! We enjoyed our company and laughter much more!

Florida Day 3

Dolphin cruise debacle. We all booked a dolphin cruise for early morning, but drove separately. The other group went to the wrong dolphin cruise. Our cruise kept announcing "We are waiting for one last party to depart." The people were getting antsy to leave and Brad and I are thinking I hope the lost party makes it. We had tried calling them multiple times. Finally Justin calls Brad and I hear Brad say "I don't think you are going to make it" just as the boat horn blows. It was classic.

Nevertheless we had fun and saw many dolphins. The girls loved driving the boat and the driver even told the girls the names of the dolphins. Apparently they have different characteristics like markings in the fins and they name them.

Afterwards, we hung out a bit at the Harborwalk Village. The girls got to choose one activity and they chose the bungee trampoline.

Then we met up with the rest of our group at the condo and napped! We spent the evening laughing and the guys taught the children the art of chicken fighting at our resort pool. Classy!

Florida Day 2 AKA mom day

On this day, the guys went golfing. Sarah and I did the pool circuit and beach with the kids. Our resort had access to several pools and another resort pool. We pool hopped and finished at the beach. We hauled around a cooler, 4 inner tubes, and beach bags. It sounds like a lot of work, but we had so much fun.

This also appears to be the day we busted out the swim shirts.

Dane thinks Brad is pretty great.

We ended our day with dinner at Pompano Joe's in Destin.
