Happy Birthday Bradley....

Belated post, but not in life. We love you Brad!

Just noticing the "I'm A Quik Trip Kid" cup. Typical Brad, Quik Trip is his Sonic.

Happy Birthday Jillian!

Yes, this is late. Her birthday was in May, the last week of school, which was a fabulously planned idea 5 years ago when I was having a baby at the end of the school year. Now, yikes, May is worse than Christmas. I was in such a frenzy finishing up the school year that I backed my car into my garage door the morning of her birthday party. Never fear, she had a wonderful day and plenty of celebrating!

Happy Birthday Jillian!

Miss Seven

Mia Kate turned SEVEN at the beginning of the month. Her day was on a Monday, so we celebrated early, on her day, and the next weekend.

We started with brunch after mass.
A few early gifts from Mom and Dad.
A little cake.
A big gift.
A school day birthday breakfast.
An after school delivery.

A family party.
Mia chose to invite her family to the Shawnee St. Patrick's Parade. It rained.

But the show went on.
The parade idea turned into our theme, St. Patrick's!
We are LUCKY to have such a sweet, caring, daughter!

Good Day

Last Saturday we had a busy day. Two birthday parties topped with a Jayhawk victory, whew!

happy birthday bradley

Our special guy had a birthday last week!
We think he is pretty neat, always trying to do what is best for our family.

The girls worked for hours on cards. Mia Kate made the large card, complete with a poem inside. Jillian surprised me and wrote out "Reuter" all by herself. I asked her where she learned it and she said "From that sign in the basement."

We love you Bradley!

Coco Key, American Girl, and Kindergarten Girls....Oh my!

Mia Kate turned 6 years old earlier this month. I cried my eyes out a couple of days after her birthday as I was trying to go to sleep. Where did 6 years go? I swear it was yesterday that we brought her home on a Sunday evening in early March. The nurse who walked us to the car said "Your car smells like a new car." I sat in the backseat while we drove through Zarda BBQ for dinner. It rained and stormed all night, I barely slept. Our neighbors yard was blooming with daffodils. Every time I see a daffodil I think of my sweet Mia Kate. Some things are different, we don't eat Zarda much, I get more sleep, and my neighbors yard hasn't seen a daffodil in 5 years. Some are the same, still driving the same car and still in awe of Mia on a daily basis.

We spent many days celebrating her birthday and had so much fun! She really wanted to go swimming, go to the American Girl store, and have lemon cake. I believe she had a very happy day, or week! We love you to pieces sis and can't believe how fast you have grown!
CoCo Key was great fun for all ages!

It is hard to only pick a couple of things. She went with an idea to get matching pajamas and picked really sweet pink satin ones.

On her actual birthday she had an acrobats meet and placed 2nd. Yeah!

Wishes came true! Eating her lemon cake in her matching pajamas!

Below is her present, doll bunk beds made by her Grandpa Frank, painted by her dad, and bedding created by me. Don't look closely at my part! :)
Her friend party was a "Girls Rock" theme with pink/black/and zebra print. She wanted to do cd's as party favors so Brad and I organized a mixed CD of her favorite songs.

Lots of giggles!

Happy Birthday Mia Kate!
You Rock sweet Girl!

thirty.one

On Friday we celebrated my thirty first birthday. We had big lake plans, but Brad didn't listen to me and fell off a dirt bike they got changed. So we ended up staying home and going to eat at a Japanese Steakhouse by our house. It was a first for both girls, MK loved it and Jilli was scared and wanted me to hold her. MK organized handmade cards for me and made me a paper plate jewelry box. She is such a doll.

I haven't wrote about Brad's motorbike mishap because, well, if you can't say anything nice, you shouldn't say it at all. So for now, he broke his scapula and clavicle, and is slowly healing. Thank heavens that is all that broke!
